Martin Divilly Butchers have always employed traditional methods since they were established in 1927 by Martin Divilly Snr, famous for quality, passion and skill in his trade. He passed these qualities down through the generations, first to his son Brian in the famous Divilly's of Shop Street, Galway and then to the current owner his grandson Martin. Martin took over the Westside store in 1996, and that year won Connaught and All Ireland Winner of the "Young Butcher of the Year".

The awards have kept rolling in, and Martin Divilly Butchers is now a multi-award winning store with multiple Bridgestone awards, 2003 FBD Crest Overall Retail Store of the Year Winner and Countryside Alliance Awards Irish Champion 2012. Martin Divilly Butchers motto is to "keep it local". This not only benefits them, but the customer and the community. They source from small local farms, and have done since they began, which means low food miles, fresh product and natural taste.

Martin Divilly Butchers E-Commerce website solution by Cliste Design

Experience

The client approached Ronan Joyce from Cliste Design because they wanted to develop a new E-Commerce website solution that would provide what Martin Divilly Butchers needed in the short-term, while also being the perfect solution for long-term scalability.

Ronan met with Martin and his wife Audrey, and they briefed him thoroughly about their business and outlined their goals for their new E-Commerce website. They needed a trusted partner who could not only help them realise this, but push them even further.

They also explained in detail the specific requirements for delivery of fresh produce.

Strategy

Ronan worked with the clients identifying the different categories of produce for the website; Dry-Aged Beef, Burgers, Chicken, Turkey, Bacon, Pork, BBQ, Food for Fitness, Gluten Free, Lamb, Side Dishes, Family Packs and Retail Sauces.

Ronan sourced a lightbox for the client and gave insightful instructions for how all of the produce should be photographed, to maintain consistency of how the brand will be represented ongoing.

Ronan also gave full website training, with backup how to videos which allowed the client to manage every aspect of running their store successfully, and Ronan is still a trusted partner for guidance whenever his services are required.

Ronan has been a pleasure to work with! He set up our business email, secured our Google Business listing, advised us on how to shoot the produce photography and he literally guided us through each and every step of our website development until we were happy to get our E-Commerce website live.

I would happily recommend Ronan Joyce from Cliste Design to anyone that is looking to grow their

business online.
